GEM Limited is a registered Australian charity using Culture, Arts and Technology to inspire youth towards creativity and health. It achieves this by hosting in-person and online free educational arts and health programs locally and abroad. These provide decision-support services, community engagement, and offer ‘Art-for-Purpose’ opportunities to mobilise young people to stay at their creative passion.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
what GEM stands for
Our work is about ‘Giving Emotions Meaning’. How do we do this? The best way for young adults to learn how to become aware of their feelings and inherited beliefs, and to improve their emotional literacy, is to be given easy tools to work with. The GEM™ Method is a play-based educational toolkit designed especially for young adults. It is delivered alongside cultural practices, hosted via practical arts-health workshops in Australia and abroad.

Our Community
How GEM CONNECTS YOUTH
GEM connects young people to a vibrant community of like-minded and hearted individuals. We do this through sharing lived experience, providing educational content, and offering creative opportunities – such as running our own ‘Art-for-Purpose’ events!
Most importantly, emerging young artists remain connected to their GEM peers locally and abroad, with the aim to keep each other inspired and to stay at their creative passions!
GEM is a New Social Health Movement (NSHM) where young people come together and bring about social change because they stay at their creative passions and join together – using cultural practices to communicate their message!
